Strategic Services Bureau (PSD)

PSD

The Strategic Services Bureau of PSD is currently composed of two major areas: the Physical Security Unit (PSU) and the Technical Services Unit (TSU).

The Physical Security Branch is assigned a portfolio of agencies and buildings to perform facility and operational security assessments, management, maintenance and installation of electronic security systems. The Branch evaluates the need for appropriate physical security measures by evaluating the effectiveness of existing physical security systems and providing recommendations for improvement.

The Branch also monitors and maintains the District's x-ray machines and magnetometers deployed throughout various District properties.
