Project Description
The Consolidated Forensic Laboratory (CFL) will be a 287,000-square-foot new building consolidating the city’s public safety forensic science and public health efforts into a single world-class, state-of-the-art facility. It will play a vital role in advancing and improving public safety support, homeland security and crime investigation capabilities. 
 
The CFL will offer a reliable facility to law enforcement agencies and provide quality and timely information as well as a broad range of safety and health services to our residents. This state-of-the-art facility will put the DC public health lab, the chief medical examiner, and the police department’s crime lab all under one roof.
