School Repurposing Program 

Project Overview

The District has designated certain schools to be reused by District agencies in order to streamline its portfolio of owned and leased space and to leverage existing assets to the benefit of the citizens of the District. All proposed work consists of interior modifications to meet life safety and accessibility standards and to upgrade mechanical and electrical systems.

PR Harris
 
Project:  PR Harris
 
Description
Ward 8. The PR Harris project is the total renovation of the existing school building to house administrtive offices for Fire & Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) & the Department of Corrections (DOC). FEMS will also construct and operate the Candidate Physical Agility Testing facility (CPAT) and Command Training & Incident Management facility (CTIM). The project will be executed in two phases:
  • Phase I: Develop the FEMS CPAT facility
  • Phase II: Develop the FEMS CTIM facility and complete renovation to the remainder of the building

Description

Meyer

Project:  Meyer

Description
Located in Ward One, the parking revenue division of the Department of Public Works (DPW) will relocate to the Meyer School. Additionally, the Keely’s Boxing Gym program will also be relocated to Meyer and will remain during renovations efforts.
